The Dougloid Papers
devoted to the pursuit of all things of interest to former Douglas Aircraft workers and anything else that looks remotely interesting. I do not wish to think, or speak, or write, with moderation. . . . I am in earnest -- I will not equivocate -- I will not excuse -- I will not retreat a single inch -- AND I WILL BE HEARD-William Lloyd Garrison

Yeah, well, we not doin' de boogaloo in western Iowa, because this demon SOB won again. And he had a really great progressive opponent, Rob Hubler, who was duly ignored by the DCCC, most of the netroots, and the Obama campaign, and ran a great grassroots campaign on a shoestring anyway.
Steve King has been my project since June, when I started trying to help Rob. He will remain my project for the next two years. Frank, here, doesn't know what he's talking about. King isn't afraid of Obama or the left. He has contempt for both, and can't wait to take us on. Check it out.

Well. Steve's an embarrassment in a political party that's deader than last week's salmon, and it proves that the people who voted for him are just as lame.
They are not embarrassed. And in the 5th district they are not dead. There needs to be some party building and grassroots organizing to change the balance of power at the polls.

I guess what I meant was that the things that Steve King wants to shove down people's throats are as dead as last year's Christmas turkey. He's not going to get much traction to advance his agenda in DC, although he will provide entertainment for a lot of people unless he decides to shut his pie hole for the duration.
